Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant held a special "Appreciation Party" on the 8th of November 2012 in conjunction with the“Dine out to Educate a Child" program which came to an end on the 31st of October 2012. Run over the past three months, 5% of all food sales at the popular Chinese eatery were set aside for the local charity, the East Bali Poverty Project that provides educational support to children living in East Bali. As an added bonus, diners who visited the restaurant a minimum of six times during the promotional period were entered into a lucky draw to win the Grand Prize, a return ticket for two people to Singapore courtesy of Qatar Airways  and a stay  in a Superior Room at the Orchard Parade Hotel Singapore. Congratulations to Ms. Inneke Hoo, the winner of the Grand Prize!

Other prizes given out included a stay at the Bali Dynasty Resort, a free massage at the brand new Ashoka Spa and a meal voucher at the Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant.

Over 50 people who qualified for the lucky draw also received a complimentary ‘Chopstick Membership Card’ which provides many privileges such as a 20% discount on food at Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant, priority table reservations, personalised silver chopsticks, 10% discount off beverage at Gracie Kelly’s Irish Pub, 15% discount off beverage at D’Lounge Lobby Bar, 15% discount on treatments at Ashoka Spa, 50% discount from rack rate on hotel accommodation and many more.  

The Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant has received many accolades and is considered by many as Bali’s best Chinese Restaurant. The Golden Lotus is open 6 days a week for Lunch from 11.30am to 2.30pm and for Dinner from 6pm to 10pm. On Mondays the restaurant is closed. An extensive Dim Sum a la Carte menu is available on weekdays whilst on Sundays a special all you can eat Dim Sum Buffet is available from 10am – 2.30pm for only Rp.95,000 nett including Chinese tea and children under 12 eat at half price including a soft drink. 

From the 1st of November 2012 to the 31st of January 2013 Golden Lotus is offering one of its' delicious signature dishes “Shanghai Sesame Chicken”. 

Our experienced chefs at Golden Lotus prepare their Sesame Chicken using a famous Shanghai recipe.

The dish is served in two ways, as a starter, the chef will present the full chicken at your table and skilfully remove the crispy skin whilst the talented waiters and waitresses take the chicken skin with their chopsticks and delicately serve it in a chinese pancake along with crispy spring onions and cucumber and black bean sauce.

The remainder of the chicken (the meat) is then returned to the kitchen and the chicken is shredded and prepared in a black pepper sauce for your main course.

The dish is traditionally served with white rice and steamed broccoli. You can now enjoy Shanghai Sesame Chicken at the very special price of IDR 215.000 net / whole chicken available for Lunch and Dinner,  it's a great feed for up to 4 people!
